SOME FACTS ABOUT HAMPTON COURT PALACE:
- It is situated in Richmond upon Thames, Greater London, England.
- It was owned by King Henry VIII in 1529.
- In 1537, Henry VIII's son the future King Edward VI was born at the palace. His mother Jane Seymour died there two weeks later.
- No monarch has lived in the palace since the reign of King George II.
- The palace was opened to the public during the reign of Queen Victoria.
- The building is Grade-I listed.
- Hampton Court Palace has been used as a filming location in films such as A Man of All Seasons (1966), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011), and Cinderella (2015).
