Are Chip and Dale friends or brothers?
Traditionally, Chip and Dale are brothers. Apparently, Bill Justice, the creators of Chip and Dale, confirmed in his autobiography Justice for Disney that they were brothers. However, this has never officially been confirmed by Disney.
The 2022 film Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers clearly refers to the chipmunks as friends, not brothers.
So the answer to the question is simply: it depends on who you ask. One thing’s for sure though: Chip and Dale have a very close brotherly bond.
